The answer is yes. However, originally the GPS12 was sent with a standard European-style connector. This created a challenge for non-European customers who were required to source an electrical connector suited to their local needs. To solve this for U.S. customers, standard North American plugs were sent to the factory in the UK and are now used for all GPS12’s sent to North America. The current GPS12 trailer shower plugs into the standard 8-pin connector. While there are many different configurations for connecting trailers to vehicles, the most commonly-used connector is the 12-volt 7-pin RV output connector. This is the connector that is now supplied with each new GPS12 destined for North America. Of course, if you choose to use another connector, you can replace the supplied connector with one of your choosing. ATS can supply you with a wiring diagram that will make it easy to install your connector so that all electrical functions lighting and braking functions work properly with your connector. Remember to make sure that all required electrical functions on the trailer are working properly as several are required for safe and legal travel on public roads. The same GPS12 wiring is used on all versions of the GPS12, including the GPS12ET, the GPS12PT, and the GPS12PTH. Both the all-electric version and the pneumatic version of this transportable, trailer-mounted safety shower use the same electrical connector. The primary difference between the all-electric GPS12ET (Trailer-Mounted, All-Electric) and the GPS12PT (Trailer-Mounted, Pneumatic/Electric) is in the method used to power the water pump. In the case of the all-electric version, an electric water pump moves water from the tank to the shower and eyewash. With the pneumatic version, a pneumatic water pump moves the water. The pneumatic pump uses compressed gas (such as Nitrogen) to provide the pressure necessary to drive the pump.
